John Dewey was a philosopher who believed that philosophy and politics are closely related. He sees his own pragmatic approach as being philosophically based on democracy. Democracy requires individual citizens to participate in the formation of policies affecting them. This belief led him to create a democratic educational system that allows for the growth of individuals. In order to form a moral community, he believes that education must be used to facilitate personal development and growth.

He found pragmatism as a philosophical basis for democracy. Democracy was Dewey’s main goal. He believed that people should be allowed to learn freely without any prejudice. This is how we could understand his belief in the importance of freedom of speech. He also established moral communities through education. We must respect others’ views and ideas even when we do not agree with them.
