As the case with any other science, we cannot know everything there is to know about Psychology. Theories rarely offer complete explanations and are frequently contradicted by new theories. Nevertheless, the interface between psychology and other disciplines is currently receiving the most attention. Neuroscience, for instance, has helped us understand what it means to be conscious. As computer science advances, so too do Artificial Intelligence (AI). Consequently, research into both fields is growing tremendously.

New applications for psychological theory are also being discovered, mostly in clinical psychology, where methods for diagnosing and treating psychiatric conditions continue to be improved. Business and industry have also benefited from advances in psychology and related disciplines. For example, psychologist Daniel Kahneman won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics for his work on behavioral economics. Global economic, social, and political turmoil in recent years has highlighted the importance of developing new areas of human psychology.
